These are the best muffins! I have made them a couple of times now and WOW, they are gone in a flash! I have also added dried apples and cinnamon chips and they are just as good.

I loved this recipe for the most part but 1 1/2 tsp baking powder leaves a rather foul aftertaste. I cut it back to 1 tsp, and I may cut it back to 1/2 tsp the next time I make these just to get rid of the aftertaste. Also, since the recipe calls for a lot of butter, I used 1/2 cup safflower oil and 1/4 cup butter instead of 3/4 cup butter and I found that the muffins were a little moister. I used walnuts too, since they were on hand and I toasted them the second time I made the recipe, which I liked better, though it does add an extra step.

These muffins are delicious! I used mini muffin tins and baked for 11 minutes. Since tomorrow is St. Pat's Day, I tinted half the batch green and mixed in chocolate chips. They were a huge hit! My kids loved them! Thanks for an awesome recipe!

Excellent recipe! I ate them hot right out of the oven. The recipe made 18 muffins instead of 12 but maybe because I used rather large bananas. My house smells so good right now, I think I will go make some more!!

I tried this recipe and it wasn't anything super special. The taste was ok. I'd definitely suggest adding some extra chopped pecans and maybe some extra sugar if you'd like it more sweet.

I cut the recipe in half, and folded in 1/2 cup shredded coconut in lieu of one of the bananas. I also sprinkled additional chopped pecans and coconut on the top before baking. Turned out great! I will use the same recipe and bake in loaf pan next time.
The kitchen smells heavenly!
