    This was fantastic, Julia good! The beef has a good depth of flavor, and it is further enhanced by the mushrooms and delightful sauce. I served it over ziti, and glad I did as the sauce filled the pasta nicely.

    Absolutely delicious! What really sets it apart is the mustard and sour cream at the end. I used a chuck roast, and cut it up instead of stew beef. The meat was incredibly tender! This one is a keeper!

    I was so disappointed. This recipe was so bland. I'm not sure they even make these recipes themselves, because if they did, they would certainly tweet it.

    This was absolutely delicious. The only modification I made was to let the carrots, thyme and stock mixture steep for over an hour on very low heat before I started cooking the beef. I also added about 2 extra heaping tablespoons of sour cream. Served with roasted carrots.

    Best ever, ever, ever and ever more recipe. Worth the time. Followed it to the T. Didn't make any changes. My whole family loved it. Can't wait to make it for extended family :-

    Absolutely delicious. I followed the recipe exactly, after all it is a five-star recipe. I let the beef simmer for an hour and a half, and it just melted in our mouths. I can't wait for the leftovers tomorrow!

    Wow. I am not a very experienced cook. I made the for 10 people and everyone loved it. It did take some time to make. I cooked the meat the night before. The sauce reduced fine for me although I did add more sour cream. Loved it!

    I am an avid cook, and I really think this recipe is definitely not what I had expected. I found the sauce way too watery, so I added some cornstarch to try to thicken it. I wouldn't say that the recipe is tasteless or terrible...I'd just say it's not worth all the work for what you end up with. I've definitely made and had better with a lot less ingredients and time.
