Well, I didn't have any beef on hand but I did have some Sand Hill Crane, and it came out fab! : Seriously! Very flavorful, it tastes like duck.....be brave and try it! Like always Tylers recipes are always the best no matter what kind of meat you use.

The only beef stroganoff I have ever had has been out of the box, and this is sooooo much better! The longer you let the meat simmer the more tender it becomes. I had my family over, and everyone, including those who do not like mushrooms, enjoyed it! I prepared this along with the apple-cranberry kissel, and Gale Gand?s chocolate babka. What a wonderful evening!

This was abseloutely delicious. I had my doubts about the cut of meat but it was worth the time it took to cook and I can't wait to cook this dish again.

This was great! The beef didn't turn out like it did on the show but the flavors were so delicious.

Thought this recipe was easy and delicious, even my picky eater ate all of it quickly. Didn't have cognac, but substituted it with peach juice. Still tasted great!

I made this for the first time a few minutes ago, during a cold and rainy Alaskan afternoon. I found a package of chuck short ribs that was just the right amount, and added a spoonful of flour to the sour cream and simmered (completely covered for five minutes, before folding in the sauteed mushrooms and the parsley. (I did this because I knew I would be reheating it during the week, and didn't want the sour cream to break down. Otherwise, I followed the recipe, and it's a winner. So rich and delicious - great comfort food. Humph. My plate's empty. Going for seconds...

Although I thought I had had Beef Stroganoff before, I was sadly mistaken. This is hands down the best. My husband who enjoys my cooking said it is one of the best things I have ever made. Thanks Tyler.
