I was thrilled with how easy this was and how much like my grandmother's this tasted.

This dish is definitely NOT Beef Stroganoff! Stroganoff is made with thinly sliced filet mignon or filet mignon tips, not chuck roast. The meat is briefly seared and set aside while making the sauce. The meat is added at the end and barely heated through. THE MEAT IS MEDIUM RARE!!!

I watch Tyler Florence all the time but have only made 1 of his recipes. I cut this recipe in half since it was just for me and it turned out great! This will definitely be added to my list of favorites!

We tried this recipe with some leftover t-bone and it was spectacular. We also left the diced carrots in the dish as well. I would definetly do this one again.

I have tried several stroganoff recipes for my husband who LOVES stroganoff. But none of them really turned out better than a box or frozen :( This one is wonderful! It's become a stand-by!

This recipe was excellent. The stroganoff was very flavorful. You need to have time to make it due to the extended cooking time, but it is well worth it. An excellent way to make a less expensive cut of meet taste like filet mignon. Highly recommended.

My husband and I have been enjoying this meal for days. It filled our house with incredible smells for an entire afternoon, and then it delivered the flavor we were anticipating. However, it was a bit soupy, despite the cornstarch I'd added when I saw the large amount of liquid in the pot.
