That is all I can say...the cognac is a must. It is definitely not a figure friendly dish, but it is so worth it!!!!! Thank you Tyler!!!

I absolutely LOVE this recipe! The buttered noodles are a perfect complement to a wonderful beef stroganoff. The meat was so tender and the sauce was delicious. I did add extra cream and sour cream to the sauce, but follow the recipe and add to your liking. I also bought a "mini" cognac from BevMo since I didn't want to have a full bottle of cognac around the house. I ended up putting the whole "mini" in it since the liquor burns off anyway. After 3 hours, I had fork tender meat in a rich, decadent sauce, over the best buttered noodles. My friends could not stop raving about this dish.

This was a wonderful dinner.....beautiful deep flavors

I made the error or trying this recipe mid week and it took 2 days due to the slow cooking of the short ribs. You should really braise these to get the tenderness needed.

I omitted the rosemary (my family doesnlt like the flavor and I would reduce the sourcream by a few tablespoons -

Do not omit the brandy- it really enhances the entire dish

Otherwise Kudos to Tyler WELL DONE

I made everything from this episode and I couldn't believe how easy the main dish was and how much fun the desert was to make. I saw the episode so I had a good idea how to plan everything and create it, so thank you Tyler for introducing your wife's recipes. YOU DA MAN!

Hearty and flavorful. My husband is such a big meat eater and this so simply delightful. Lots of flavor and easy to cook up. Thanks Tyler.

I love your show!! It feels like my brother is cooking for me and that is what it is all about.

My family has always loved my beef stroganoff. When I watched this episode, I told my husband I was going to try it. He said there was no way it was going to be better than mine! He looked at me after a few bites and told me I got beat. We laughed. Hey, if I am going to get upstaged on a recipe, there is no one I would rather lose to! I do prefer filet mignon over the short ribs, however!

Magnificent!! I cooked the ribs a little longer, as my were thick. Test with a fork for tenderness. Also, I made the paste in a food processor, very quick and easy! I didn't have any cognac so I substituted dry marsala wine. Great result.

Fabulous.... I made it exactly, however, for my taste there were too many mushrooms. I would cut the recipe down to just 1-1/2lb of mixed mushrooms. I also thickened the sauce with cornstarch and water. The taste of the sauce is the BEST! And the short ribs were fabulous. We had leftovers tonite and I added more cream and cognac and put the meat in the sauce and cooked it again. LOVED it!!! A definite KEEPER in my home.....

This was a nice change for beef stroganoff I love the hint of mustard. I mix the meat together with the sause than put it over the noodles, it was very rich so the next time I will use less cream if I do it that way again

TiVo is my best friend esp when it comes to watching all Tyler`s Ultimate shows!! I saw this one a few days ago, & immediately had to go out the next day to grab ingredients and prepare!! My guests last night where blown away by this dish. They have always been use to small bite size bits of beef in the dish this had big succulent low/slow cooked beef ribs "Amazing" . The rub whatever you do don`t be stingy on the Rub (!!! the earthy flavors really make this dish explode in your mouth. I served this with a bold Pinot Noir Perfect pair for one another. I also made the Apple Charlotte from this episode for desert, my guests where blown AWAY!! I live in very rural area & my market did not carry Brioche this time of the yr., what I did find and use for the Charlotte was a NewThomas limited edition Season`s Best breakfast loaf made with a apple cinnamon swirl, it was Perfect & I cannot believe how lucky I was with the timing on this.
Thank You Tyler for always making me a rock star in the Kitchen
