I followed this recipe from the "Tyler's Ultimate" cookbook and it's very clear and easy. It states to combine all the berries, sugar, cornstarch and lemon juice in a saucepan instead of using two steps written online.

Also, it uses 1 cup (not quart of heavy cream, that's a lot! and 1 cup of lemon curd. No wonder the lemon flavor is weak as it's written. Otherwise the recipe looks the same. The lemon cream is delicious and people were definitely going back for seconds. My friends were fighting over who got to take the uneaten portion home.

After reading all the reviews praising this trifle, I expected something extraordinary to bring to a party tonight. I've made many trifles, but this was the worst. I happen to agree partially with "gross" in that the lemon cream lacked flavor; I did as others suggested and used a pint of cream--was expecting more of a lemony taste than this offered. Also did not care for the choice of pound cake. Recipe stated finish with a cream layer which I did, a very skimpy layer, then looked at the picture and noticed the top layer was the berry sauce! No one at the party cared for it either. However, Ina's peach and raspberry crisp, the other choice, was a hit as usual!

I made this trifle for a dinner party for 11 people and the entire thing was gone by the end of the night. Several people went back for seconds! It was so easy to make. I followed the suggestion of others and only used 1 pint of heavy cream and that was plenty. You can really mix the berries how you like it, you don't have to use the exact berries Tyler calls for. It a was beautiful looking dessert, and so yummy. Will definitely be making this again!

I try a new recipe every week, and after Tyler Florence made this trifle on his show this week, I decided this would be my recipe of the week! It was delicious! I made my pound cake from a mix instead of using a store-bought one, but other than that, I followed the recipe exactly. The lemon whipped cream is fantastic with the fresh berries!

The lemon cream is really delicious. As noted in other comments, I used 1 pint heavy cream. I used Sara Lee pound cake and it took about 1 1/4 loaves to do my trifle bowl. I doubled the strawberries and skipped the raspberries (strawberries and blueberries were on sale and garnished the top with a little lemon zest and fresh (uncooked berries. Really, really good.

I made this on Easter and everyone loved it. I took the advice of others and
used less whipping cream, 1 pint instead of 1 quart. I also decorated the top with some fresh berries. I will make it again.

I picked this recipe for Easter with my son in mind. He loves lemon. It was the perfect light dessert to end our huge dinner! I did substitute angel food cake instead of pound cake and it worked out great! Will make again.

This is the best trifle I`ve ever had! The flavors and texture were exceptional. It`s not too sweet, beautiful and so easy to make. I made this for my dad`s 90th birthday dinner and he had two servings! I highly recommend it.
