I have tried different biscuit recipes and they've always been so-so until this one. These were excellent. I used butter instead of shortening like another reviewer suggested. They were so tender. My husband loved them as well. A keeper for sure!!

Perfect with my slight modifications. After reading other reviews about the biscuits being dry, I increased the amount of buttermilk to a full cup. Additionally, I used a stick of unsalted butter instead of the shortening. Lastly, I baked them on parchment paper. Delicious! Crispy on the top and edges, but moist and soft in the center. They are wonderful served warm with a small amount of honey. This receipt is definitely a keeper!

These were perfect...made them to have with Country sausage gravy for dinner. The only thing that I changed to make the biscuits moist was added 1 cup Buttermilk vs. 3/4 cup Buttermilk.

Not sure what I did wrong. My biscuits tasted great but my whole family said they were dry. Followed the recipe exactly. How would someone make them moist inside?

These were a very easy and tasty addition to our Thanksgiving dinner. Next time I will incorporate 1tsp of butter.
