Maybe I don't know enough about scones, but I thought they needed more sugar, and would add lemon zest and juice to the mix next time.

This is a recipe that I immediately made sure I held onto for the future.
I made these for a brunch and everyone loved them. The glaze recipe could have been a bit thicker, but I have since thickened it myself. I don't understand the negative reviews on this recipe. Its great!!

I love scones and have made this receipe several times and receive rave reviews each. I had to cut down on the blueberries to 1/2 cup I think it was because I picked my own and they were really big and juicy. Also I used them right out of my freezer which helped with the problem of them falling apart and squishing when incorporating them into the dough. I too cut down on the lemon juice to 1/3 cup. If you just like a thin hint of the glaze, don't add additional powdered sugar. If you like a more traditional thicker icing/glaze add more sugar to desire consistency. I usually make a batch half with light thin glaze and half with more sugar which appears more as an icing. Both are very good. The dough tends to be sticky and a little hard to work with, but I just floured the surface well and also my hands as I patted the dough out and it was fine.
Again, I loved them as the receipe was first written and I also love them with my own adjustments.

These scones are amazing. The texture and flavors please the palate in such an amazing way. My family asks for these scones quite often. Even some of my friends request these scrumptious triangles.

My friend and I made these scones yesterday and they are fabulous! It took very little time and I was suprised how easy they were to make. We used half raspberries and half blueberries and didn't add the lemon zest to the glaze. These changes made the scones blue in color and the glaze a little thin. However, we both received rave reviews from our husbands and plan on making them again.

so, this recipe is extremely easy. it produces fabulously tasty scones. my concerns: the dough was very hard to work the blueberries into without mashing them because it was so crumbly. i may try some of the suggestions here, and put the berries in after the butter and before the cream. also, the glaze was quite good, but a bit runny, and made the scones a little soggy. definitely will use half the amount (ingredient-wise next time. other than that, it sure beats the scones i can buy at work.....
