I used chocolate chips instead of blueberries. It was very good. The glaze was watery--I think the proportions were off a bit.

Superb texture, easy to make. I added half and half instead of cream, abit less than a cup and the consistency was great. Delicious. Cut down the lemon glaze by half and its enough.

They turned out just like a bakery! Plus they just taste so good. My husband had two.

I had never tried scones before I made this recipe. My husband loved them. I liked the thickness and that they weren't too sweet. My dough needed an extra 1/4 cup of heavy cream to hold together so I could shape it. Also, my lemon glaze was very tart (winter lemons, sheesh. So, I would recommend that anyone who is making this recipe taste the glaze before putting it on the scones (and adjust sweetness accordingly.

I made these for a brunch and had to pat them together on the baking pan as they kept falling apart but they turned out very tender. I cut the lemon juice in half for the glaze and then added just enough water to allow me to mix it and it was perfect.

Scones were very good-the glaze was a little stickey. I will make it thicker next time.

I love breakfast foods that aren't very sweet... and this one was perfect! I did cut down on the lemon juice - I used the juice of one lemon (less than 1/4 of a cup. I also thought the lemon-icing was way too much for 8 scones. I had to throw more than a cup of the glaze away. I would recommend using 1/8 cup of lemon juice and 1 cup of powdered sugar. Definately a crowd pleaser!

These were sooo yummy... I couldnt get blueberries so i used raspberries instead, cuz raspberries go really good with lemon glaze. At first I thought they wouldn't turn out because the raspberries got squished and it was so crumbly i couldnt form it into triangles. But when they came out... hoo boy!!! Everyone loved them and asked me to make it again. (Id recommend putting the icing on the side becuase some people prefered it that way.

These were so easy to make! I made one substitution to cut down on the fat/cal content - I used fat free evaporated milk instead of the heavy cream and they came out great. Everyone who tried them thought they were fabulous!

These scones turned out to be one of the best things I have ever baked, and they were a hit at an afternoon tea party I had. They were tender, rich, and delicious. I did adjust the lemon glaze recipe to only 2 Tbsp. lemon juice and one Tbsp. of hot water to go with the butter and confectioner's sugar.
