Should I let the cornbread dry overnight? I've never made a stuffing before.
Thanks,
ivy

I'm not a huge fan of stuffing/ dressing but this one is amazing! I have been making it every year for the past 4 years now and I will continue to make it every year for Chanksgiving and Christmas:

This will be our third Thanksgiving making this delicious stuffing. I will probably use this recipe my entire life and pass it down. I haven't met anyone that hasn't loved it. It's the first dish that we run out of. Fantastic! Thank you!

This was a hit for my family, first time ever making homemade stuffing. My husband and parents loved it. This will be our third Thanksgiving making this great tasting stuffing.

Shelley..
Go to store and buy a small bag of cornmeal..Martha White Aunt Jemina, etc. White or yellow. Follow recipe on bag for Southern or Country one. I use Martha White and I follow the Southern Cornbread recipe really my grandma's and I only use half on cornbread and half of pepridge farms or any other sage and onion stuffing in bags..I have never had any other kind of stuffing except cornbread all my 52 yrs..25 yrs ago I was always made fun of for eating southern cooking, now it is the IN thing...mmmmm. If you make it though please use celery and onion and sage..It will come out super..Email me for my recipe if you want at Bmajac@aol.com..

This is a good tasting stuffing if you don't like those heavy herb flavors that usually go into every stuffing. This one is a keeper for me. Easy to make too.

Can you tell me in your Carmelized Onion and Cornbread Stuffing, the recipe calls for 6 large cornmeal muffins - how many cups of cornmeal is this equivalent to? I would like to make this stuffing for Thanksgiving.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Glad to see you did not call it stuffing. Most people don't seem to know there is a difference. The only difference in my mom's and yours is she added equal parts celery and onion. Make the cornbread from scratch, not sugar. Also did not use the cream. Good ole fashioned cornbread dressing, yum.
