I made this Christmas Day; it turned out GREAT. I had some left over that I ate 2 days later & it tasted even better.
I don't remember exactly what Tyler did with the Mascarpone but this is what I did: I took One cup of heavy Whipping cream & whipped it, added a 1/2 a cup of white powdered sugar, & then added the Mascarpone Cheese. It turned into this delicious creme Chantilly.
I emptied the mixture into a pretty bowl & added some to each pear individually & topped it with the Rum soaked raisins. The sugar added to the Mascarpone balanced the taste of the rum raisins beautifully.
Next time I will prepare everything a day ahead & just warm up the pears before serving them.
    Everybody loved my desert!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Yummy; thank you Tyler.

Haven't made this yet, but wanted to answer Judy, that Tyler added heavy cream to the Marscopone cheese. Don't know how much, think it was a qtr of a cup. Little late but hope this helped. I gave it five stars, but I will come back after I make this if I think it should be changed.

This is very easy. Prepared entirely on top of stove. The flavors are incredible. I sprinkled some of the macerated raisins on top of the pears before I added the mascarpone, amaretti and mint leaves. Served with Easter Brunch.

My 23 year old son asked for the recipe.

Sorry Tyler, but I thought it was a little too much of the sweet stuff. The pears cooked up great and were delicious, but I think there should have been less raisins in the cream. Next time I'll half the amount. And the amaretto cookies didn't do the dish justice - I thought they masked the other flavors. If I cook this again then I'll make these changes and hopefully I will enjoy as much as the other reviewers.

MM!! The recipe took a lot longer to cook for the pears to become tender, and I used regular raisins because they are cheaper, but wow!!.. this one is winner!! love it and my guest keep eating it til it was gone!
