Someone said that it's all about the blue cheese you use and I'm posting to say that I agree. I used poor quality blue cheese that I didn't like, powdered buttermilk with a spoon of yogurt (because I didn't have buttermilk in the fridge and the dressing tasted just like my nasty blue cheese. No amount of other ingredients improved it. I'm going to try this again with real buttermilk and a really good blue cheese that I want to taste. I'm rating this recipe as 5 stars because it features the blue cheese well and it is not fair to judge it as lacking based on my poor ingredients. I iwll post again once I try this with the good stuff.

Oh my. This dressing is absolutely fantastic! I made twice with two different types of salads (one with broccoli and the other with greens and it was delicious! I do agree with some of you that it IS a little thin, but you can always thicken it up with some sour cream. I did not have any fresh chives, so I just tossed in some dried and it tasted wonderful. The lemon juice brightened it up a bit and added some depth of flavor. If I could hug this man, believe me, I would! Also, kudos to Tyler for having a creamy dressing that was NOT a mayo base!

This recipe was written well, but ultimately it didn't appeal to me. If you really like blue cheese, you'll love this recipe. Not a bad recipe, just not for me. Too blue cheesy!

This dressing is wonderful! Very quick and easy to make. Have made the dressing several times, but I always put it on salad greens.

I really like blue cheese dressing but not overly excited about this. Seemed thin but it tasted ok.

This recipe is fantastic...however I added 1 tablespoon of grated parmesan cheese and my 4 tablespoons of my Yogurt Sauce. Recipe follows:
Ingredients:
1 Quart plain unflavored Yogurt
1 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
Directions:
Add the garlic powder to the yogurt. Stir until blended.

This was great! Dressing was a little thin but a bit of sour cream did the trick. I also added some leftover bacon (crumbled from breakfast. So good! My husband wants to toss this onto a wedge of iceberg lettuce so we will try that next time.

Why in the world have I been buying salad dressing all these years. This is fantastic. Wow. As many have noted, it is a bit thin, so we just added a bit of sour cream to thicken. Fantastic.

the dressing had a good flavor but way too thin. no one really was crazy about this even though they ate it. wouldn't make again.
