I made this for my Mother on Mother's Day and it was terrific. I saw Tyler make it on TV and then printed out the recipe. We all never had dumplings before and they were great! Definitely a keeper!!

The flavor is wonderful, but it had a little too much liquid in it for me. Will adjust it next time I make this. My husband and I both loved the dumplings! Never thought of using buttermilk in dumplings before, but it gave them such a nice twang. Thanks for the great recipe.

I too went out and got what I needed to make this. I did have a problem in that it did not thicken up to make a sauce but I was ok with that. I just made it as a soup and it was very good! I plan on using this recipe in the future and instead of dumplings, add egg noodles or rice for a chicken noodle or rice soup.
I also added some chopped spinach.
    Very good recipe!

Followed the directions to a "T", but I must have screwed something up....the dish came out very bland and blah. My husband kept tasting throughout the process, the broth and chicken both had great flavor, but something just didn't jive at the end. Would love to hear any comments/suggesstions from others, as I would like to try this recipe again.

This looked so good on television that I ran right out and bought what I needed to make the dish and had it last night for dinner! It was delicious and turned out just like Tyler said it would with no adjustments. It is definitely good ole comfort food and great to make on a cold day. I made it in stages (as did some of the other reviewers and it was perfect! I still think that Tyler has some of the best recipes on Food Network (along with Ina and Bobby.

When I went to print this recipe this morning... no one had reviewed it yet as it was new... now I am after the 6th person and not surprised to see all with 5 stars and rave reviews!!

Absolutely delicious! A Comfort Meal!! You can make it in stages... the stock ahead and do the end part before you have guest over or your own dinner.

We did half a white onion chopped with the celery and carrots instead of pearl onions. I will make this recipe again and again! Thank you Tyler for yet again, another favorite! Linda

The dumplings were perfect...but you need to turn them over halfway thru or cover the pot so the tops will cook. Next time I think I will do the chicken and stock the day before to save some time. Haven't had chicken and dumplings like this since I was a kid. The end results were fabulous!

I just made this dish for myself and I thought it would be too difficult, but it was quite simple. I love the flavors and the tanginess in the dumplings. I definitely will make this for a dinner party! Thanks Tyler...you ROCK!

This one is a must to make! It brought back memories of my Grandma's recipe! It makes hardy portions and the taste is just awesome. I loved the chives in the dumplings, it really added to the overall balance of the soup! If you do manage to have left overs. It also freezes well. Keep'em coming Tyler!

I didn't think I could get this to work out but once I completed the meal, it was to good to be true. My family love this dish! I had to call my brother in NYC to let him know, he really needs to try this one. He loves to cook and we both enjoy watching Tyler and always ready to try the recipe's.. this one is a winner all around.

Thank you Tyler for bring back those memories.
