This recipe is the best I have ever tasted for Cacciatore. It uses fresh ingredients and is easy to make. I must admit, that I sometimes substitute canned roasted red peppers, as they are a bit easier. It's a recipe the whole family loves!

This one was a winner even with my 5 year old. Since, i am not a fan of polenta, i served it with garlic mashed potatoes (Rachael Ray's recipe. It not only tasted amazing, but was equally appealing to the eyes and smelled Oh so wonderful!

I'd do w/o the lemon. The red peppers were amazing. A little too much work for something that was just ok.

I thought this was pretty good and my husband enjoyed it. Used boneless, skinless thighs and they worked great. Next time I will only use lemon zest and some juice - didn't care for the slices, even though they did cook down. Recipe actually got better the next day.

This recipe looked good on the TV, but when I made it, I was dissapointed. For starters, I would not use his method of roasted peppers. Trimming them before hand and then roasting them meant they were cooked too a crisp when I tried to skin them. I'll stick with roasting them over an open flame, then trimming and skinning. I also did not like the lemon slices or the anchovies, too weird. I would also not bread the chicken, it was too heavy and overpowering. All in all, not a good recipe.

Loved this dish better the second day, flavors were more blended. Did have to add chicken broth. I used 3 peppers and found that to be too many. Roasting and peeling was quite labor intensive. All in all, I've had better.

In looking for "just the right" cacciatore recipe forever,I ran across this one,and though it is still not exactly what I am looking for it is the next best thing.I finally found one in an old cook book from my church that was just about the right thing, and now with both recipe's I am delighted.Tyler's is a really good one,and definitely worth making,as most of his recipe's are.

We saw Tyler's recipe show a weekend or two ago for Chicken Cacciatore. We made it for last night's dinner. It is unlike any cacciatore recipe I've ever made. We are not fond of anchovies so we left them out. The recipe calls to simmer all the vegetables together - and what a great way to get those flavors married up. Then, to first saute the floured coated chicken first certainly adds to all the other flavors. Great job! Keep these practical, easy to make, not crazy expensive recipes coming! Tyler is a very talented cook with very practical advice for everyday cookers like us!

This recipe is great. The roasted red peppers really come together with the other ingredients in the sauce and infuse the chicken with great flavor. Thanks for another great recipe Tyler.
