I made this recipe exactly as the directions, and the sauce was just waaaay too bitter, and I ended up having to use a lot more chicken broth, wine, and flour to get it to taste right...and even then, it still had a weird aftertaste. So I wasn't thrilled with the sauce at all. However, the chicken was amazing. So I have a love/hate relationship with this dish...if I make it again, I'll use a lot less lemon.

Easy to make and taste great. Anyone who is not too familiar with the kitchen can make a success out of this recipe. Thank you, Tyler Florence!

This recipe is great. I taste it the sauce before serving it and it was a little bitter but if u put a little bit of brown sugar it comes out perfect and the bitter taste goes away. Everybody in my house though they were eating in a fancy restaurant

This tasted just like the Chicken Francaise at my favorite restaurant in NYC- I'm so happy that I can make it at home!

Fantastic. Only changes were I seasoned the chicken with salt and pepper before dredging, and I used Meyer lemons. Comes out great! Oh, I also just butterflied the chicken instead of pounding it.

I found this to be a bit too lemony. Next time I will reduce the lemon juice by half. Overall it was easy to make and tasty too.

I had never had chicken francese before - thought I would try out this recipe since the ingredients were interesting. I'm guessing this dish is more of an acquired taste? The lemon makes it bitter and it's quite bland otherwise. This is definitely not the usual results I have with food network recipes :.

This is a great recipe for this "classic"..your chicken will turn out perfectly done, and the sauce is ok. It should make a lot of people happy, but this dish is kind of boring. It's a freakin chicken breast with lemon and butter. Yay.
