i cut the recipe scale in half. this was still a lot. i added sauteed celery and carrots. the corn is a bit too much. i think more potato in the ratio would be better. also, go ahead and add the corn early. the potatoes were overcooked but the carrots, celery, and corn were still a little hard. it needed more flavor. maybe i'll try substituting some of the vegetable stock with clam juice or seafood stock next time. oh and a touch of hot sauce or cayenne/paprika. i added a little sherry but maybe not enough. clam chowders are usually made with burgundy, so maybe ill try that.

I actually turned this into a vegan recipe. I used vegan butter in place of regular butter. Instead of using 2 c. cream, I used a 14 oz. can light coconut milk and 1/4 c. silk (soy creamer. DELICIOUS!

This chowder is so tasty and can be changed in so many ways. My boyfriend's favorite is when I add chilis and bacon! Definitally give this one a try!

i used everything fresh, so it was time consuing. however the sweet summer corn was so delicious i even used some raw as a garnish. we ate it with grilled chicken and biscuits.

It was easy but not what I expected. Not as much flavor as other corn chowders and seemed to be missing something.

This is the very best corn chowder ever! The key is fresh sweet corn and the heavy cream. Don't skimp on the cream..... it's sooooo worth the extra calories! Try it with a corn muffin on the bottom of your bowl..... soo darn good! Thanks Tyler1

This was an absolutely easy and delicious chowder to prepare. I did not have to adjust any of the flavors, and I have passed this recipe on to several friends who have tried it and love it as well.

The chowder could be a lot better if some clam broth were added. It might be interesting to add chopped clams. as well and a little heat. Add some more thyme.

This recipe was great. I might decrease the heavy cream a bit but the flavors were great. Highly recommended.
