I added frozen cooked shrimp to mine, and a couple tablespoons of Tabasco to spice it up a bit. Otherwise it's a little bland.

Delicious! It has become a favorite at our house! We made it for Christmas last year and the kids requested it for this year again!

I have to start out by saying "I DONT COOK". No, really.....I don't. However, for some strange reason, I LOVE watching the Food Network.

Recently, as the weather had gotten colder, I had been craving corn-chowder, so I logged on to the Food Network website, found this recipe, read it over and thought to myself....I can do this!!

This recipe was very easy....EVEN FOR ME!! ((Remember, I don't cook! It also tasted GREAT. I made it on a chilly Halloween night, and it was perfect! No mess, no fuss, easy and delicious!! It even helped keep us warm as we passed out candy to trick-or-treaters.

So come on.....Give this a try.....you won't regret it!! It may end up as a "Favorite" in your recipe box too!!

This recipe was easy to do, and best of all filling. The taste is great and definitely try to use fresh corn off the cob. It makes a big difference. But either way it is a great fall dish.

Very tasty chowder. I took a hint from a Paula Deen recipe & the next time I made this I addred one carrot & one stalk celery (chopped to the onion/garlic saute, for a bit of extra flavor & color

I added a quarter pound of diced pancetta in place of half the butter and olive oil. After rendering the fat, I removed all but a few of the meaty pieces. I also added one chopped roasted red pepper before adding the flour. I used organic vegetable broth instead of stock, and also added two bay leaves. Important to "milk" the cob with the back of the knife after cutting off the kernels. I might add more corn next time and even grill it a bit first, but was great! All my co-workers loved it, and my husband (who is not a fan of creamed soups loved it too!
