I made two batches of this today. The first one was made with 1 cup of sugar for most of us, and the 2nd batch I made for the low carb dieters. I just used 1 cup slenda instead of sugar and I used 5 drops of orange extract in place of the orange. Both are excellent and I can't wait for all my guest's to try them. I gave a sample to my hubby and he really liked it. And he doesn't like the canned stuff. Thanks Tyler and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have tried 4 for 5 different Cranberry sauce and nothing matchs the balance of flavor of the Cranberry sauce.

    Hi,

Awesome Sauce. One thing I like to do is instead of using orange juice I slice up some orange segments at the end of cooking. I also add some sliced Red Delicious apples, skin still on.

I never thought of attempting to make fresh cranberry sauce or Thanskgiving, but this recipe seemed simple and sounded great. We made it and are SO glad we did! It is now a welcome addition to our Thanksgiving menu. The orange adds great taste but is not overpowering, and it is so simple to make. My kids who do not like the canned cranberry jelly, had repeat servings of this sauce. All of our guests loved it and requested the recipe. Thanks!

I made this sauce for Tjanksgiving much to my husband's chagrin. He's loved canned whole berry cranberry sauce for years. Once he helped make this sauce and then sampled it, he said we'll never go back to canned again! Our guests raved about how delicious it is. I shared the recipe with all my friends who found the ease of making this sauce astounding. It's will now be a regular part of our menus...both for Thanksgiving as well as to accompany other turkey, ham, pork or chicken entrees throughout the year.
