This is my third year making this sauce. My family loves this recipe. For a twist this year will be making a extra batch and adding it to our apple pie for cranberry apple pie. Thanks Tyler for a great recipe.

SO easy and flavorful!!! I think the tartness others are commenting on is determined by your particular cranberries and orange juice (and personal taste. I made exactly as the recipe says, with the exception of adding 1/2 c of cointreau. I thought it was perfect as is, but hubby thought it needed more sugar. So I added a couple more tablespoons toward the end of cooking. Delicious and honestly WHY would anyone buy that gelatinous glob in the can?!?!?!?!?

This is an excellent cranberry sauce. I'll be preparing it for a second year, following our new tradition of staying home for Thanksgiving. My husband doesn't care for cranberry sauces but actually gave a thumbs up on this one! I agree that the rate of "difficulty" should be dialed down to easy. I am an o.k. cook and was initially discouraged when I saw level of difficulty because I thought with all the cooking I had to do already for Thanksgiving this would just add more time, BUT it didn't!!!

I don't know why this is "difficult" to make it's the easiest thing to do for Thanksgiving! Hubby hated the "whole berry" sauce but this is his favorite!
The ONLY cranberry sauce worth making.

Absolutely delicious and so easy to make. Used the extra large fresh cranberries. Added about a tablespoon of Amaretto.

I have been making one batch for myself and my daughter-in-law for the past 3 years ... everyone else eats that jellied stuff! Here's a twist. I can't tolerate a lot of sugar, so I use 1/3 c. sugar to 2/3 c. Splenda. It comes out fine. It's one of my "go-to" recipes at holiday time.

Third year in a row doing this one for Thanksgiving. Simple and delicious! Of course some personal tweaking is always acceptable right? This year-Cointreau.
