I looked for this recipe after seeing it on Tyler's show. He said on the show to heat the oil in the pan until it's smoking, then add potato mixture & bake. I did this, but the crust stuck to the pan, so it came out in a pile, not a pie. It was still tastey. I may try it again in a heated non-stick pan.

On the episode he heated the oil in the skillet, added the potatoes, mushed them to the bottom of the pan while it was still on the burner THEN put the pan in the oven. Yummy Crispy!

We love these potatoes! They are very easy to prepare but look kind of fancy. My husband doesn't care for horseradish so I substituted dijon mustard and added some chopped carmelized onions. Roasted garlic is also good. The leftovers are great for breakfast reheated in a skillet and served with eggs. Thanks, Tyler, for a double duty recipe!

A wow! This is crusty, creamy, delicious, and unusual. My nephews thought it was cool to have a piece of pie on their plates! Everyone enjoyed it.

Iused a cast iron stillet and heated it on the stove, added a little olive oil, added the potatoes and baked. Turned out pretty and brown and tasty.

I thought this looked yummy, but it was kind of tricky to make. I didn't know when the potatoes were done so I didn't get them as brown and crispy cause I didn't want to burn them. Otherwise they were good!

I ran out of time and just put the whipped potato mixture in a serving dish. Everyone loved it!
