this is a very easy recipe and it tastes great! I just have a hard time with the browning aspect of it.

As others have said the flavor is great. The horse radish really adds something to the potatoes. Unfortuately, after 30 minutes in the oven mine neither browned nor became crispy, but I had to serve them, because everything else was done. Also when inverted the potatoes didn't release from the pan. I didn't need 2 lbs. of potatoes so I scaled back the recipe and the potatoes were pretty dry. I may not make these again.

Really good. Make sure you keep it in the oven long enough to get a very crispy crust.

I am always on the search for new potato recipes. This one is easy to do and so yummy. You can dress it up or just have it plain.

The flavor is great before you crisp them in the skillet and even better when they are crisped. We used an Allclad pan the first batch and an iron skillet the second and both times the crispy shell stuck in the pan. What's Tyler's secret?????

This dish is very tasty, easy to prepare and looks so homemade. I needed to serve a large number of people, so when I inverted the pan, I mixed it instead of leaving it pie-like. I did several batches, but it was so easy that it took no time at all. This is very nice to take to a pot luck as well.

I loved the idea of crisping the potatoes after mashing them, so I couldn't wait to try this recipe out. The taste was SPECTACULAR, but my presentation was not so much. The potatoes stuck and didn't come out clean like Tyler's did, and I have Allclad cookware. Maybe if my pan was non-stick I would have had better luck, but Tyler didn't use non-stick, so I thought I would be ok. Anyway, I loved the recipe and I recommend it, even if you have to scoop the potatoes out instead of neatly slicing the servings.
