This recipe is delicious and authentic if made as stated. i have made it for many occassions and therefore many people and EVERYONE loves it. We have three kids so I use only one pepper and 1-2 T of accompanying sauce when making the pink mayo sauce and all my kids love them. Do not add cheese and green lettuce etc. it is so American and really makes the dish less authentic and less tasty. Tyler is the expert, we should follow his recipe as written for best results.

We love this recipe, although we do not use the cabbage, we use green lettuce. The cabbage is rough on the stomach!

These were absolutely amazing! I have a nine year old who lovvved them but I couldnt add the sauce to his for they were too spicy hot! One suggestio if the children are eating them too,,,, maybe add 1/4 can of the chipotle & sauce for it can get very spicy otherwise. I think that would be a good compromise for the children. yummy delicious!!!

Love these, I make them all the time! My boyfriend craves them. I usually leave the Napa cabbage out and just throw on my own toppings (cheese and lettuce and red onion. So good!

The chipotle sauce is the winner here, though the ingredients all combine so well together. The crispyness of the fish and taste was great. I added pepper to my breadcrumbs just so the fish had some flavor. We had this for the next 2 days till it was all gone. Excellent!!

This will certainly be a keeper for us. I successfully used tilapia. Left over chipotle sauce is excellent on almost anything - even put it on pizza last night.
I suggest you make at least a double recipe of mango sauce, 'cause one just won't be enough! I even think that grilled fish would work just fine - to keep down fat.

I just wanted to write that we really enjoyed this dish. It was easy to make and only $2.50/person. I used red snapper which was delightful! The only change I'd make is to use 1 can of chipotle peppers in adobo sauce because it was very spicy hot - 2 cans would have been overwhelming. And you can add any toppings you'd like in addition to the cabbage (e.g. cilantro and onions, tomatoes, avacado, etc.
