This is the best salad ever! Very quick and easy. I used a variety of lettuce I had on hand and this turned out great. I am not experienced with making my own dressing so I didn't think it made enough but what the recipe calls for is plenty. The maple syrup (the real thing really adds a unique flavor that can't be substituted.I will definitely make this again.

Wonderful salad! I did have to make a few changes to keep it local, I used frisee and mixed greens instead of radicchio and endive, subbed in apples for the pears. Everything except the pecans, parm and olive oil were sourced from local farms and producers.
I'll definitely make this again...there was NONE left at the end of the night, our guests loved it as well.

This salad is so good, instead of parm cheese I added gorgonzola cheese. Delish!

Love it! This has become a holiday staple in our house...I'm toasting the nuts right now to toss into a Thanksgiving salad tomorrow! This salad is also good when swapping out the pears and lettuces for apples and pre-packaged spring mix.

Fantastic dressing! Love this salad! I used red head lettuce and frisee! Was a big hit in my house --- I would double the dressing amounts!

Delicious salad and simple - can definitely be played around with and still pack a good punch. The key is the dressing and the nuts - delicious and I left both of those as is! I used mixed lettuce from our CSA box, because it was fresh and yummy and what we had, and subbed goat cheese for the parm, and added chopped smoked bacon. People can't stop raving about our 'new' salad!

This was a fantastic!! A bit on the bitter side, but i'd still go with 5 stars here. Dressing was amazing too. I used 2 brown pears cause I couldn't find red ones but it was still great!

This salad is exceptional. I've made this twice now and the first time was for company. They absolutely loved the salad and went for seconds. I followed the recipe exactly as shown. The flavors combine so well. The maple syrup gives a sweetness to the dressing that complements the sweetness of the nuts and pears. The balsamic in the dressing pairs so nicely with the cheese.

First off, I've yet to try this recipe. I was about discard the recipe after reading the reviews about the show/recipe mistakes. However, if you crunch some numbers you'll find that the amounts used on the show are the same as the recipe if multiplied by 6. Example, 1/4 C = 12 tsp. So 1/4 C divided by 6 gives you 2 tsp. Just wanted to save anyone from not trying this recipe.
