I was really excited to try this recipe, and while it tasted good, I have to say that it separates easily - after putting the sauce into the noodles, I could see the cheese and butter separating in the pan almost immediately.
Also, added lots of garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to give it some flavor.

I made only the sauce, and it was very good. I tweeked it and used 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese and 1/2 cup of romano cheese...I also had to add salt. I would reccommend this to a friend.

I liked this recipe and the flavor was good but it took along time to thicken, over 1/2 hr of constantly stiring... would like something that was a bit quicker.

Have made this recipe several times with slight variations. The favorite at our house is to add roasted red peppers just before completion as not to become too mushy!
I've also added mushrooms, zucchini, and broccoli. Also substituting half the heavy cream for half&half lowers the calories a bit.

Amazing Alfredo Sauce! I used salted butter because I didn't have unsalted and it was delicious. Why go to a restaurant when you can make this at home???

Just reviewing the sauce.... Excellent! I was able to easily HALF the ingredients since I only wanted to make enough for about 2-3 people. Also instead of heavy cream I used a half&half with about 1-2 tablespoons of whole milk. Was great for a slightly lighter summer version. I also used a clove of smashed garlic in the sauce while cooking....you may want to remove it before adding the pasta.
Also I added some blanched broccoli florets and topped it with breaded shrimp. Better than any italian restaurant! Oh and I used regular/salted butter and brand-name store bought grated parmesan cheese. Grate the cheese yourself if you prefer but in my opinion you dont need to buy the $15/lb. hunk of cheese since its just being cooked down into a sauce.

I didn't make the pasta, but OMG I am sooo happy I made the sauce!!!! Our boys, 3&6 love chicken Alfredo pizza I doubled the recipe added 1crushed clove of garlic but let it reduce for almost an hour whisking consistently. Tossed it on the partially cooked dough added chicken, cheese and parsley and amazing!

Very tasty! My only complaint would be with the sauce, it is not as thick as I would have liked; however a very tasty dish!
