    I tried so hard to make Sunday fried chicken. I never have had chicken fried before and it is such a stigma of Sunday dinner I thought I would give it a try, what a dissaster. I don't know if it was my inexperience (followed the recipe to the tee or...Oh, I don't know. The outside burned, so I tried to turn the temp, fine, but still very dark, and very hard outside.

    My husband said it was good, he was being nice.

    Will not do this one again, I think I will follow Bobbie Flay's suggestion and turn it every so often and lower the temp.

    Try try again, but not this recipe.

    Tyler.... u da man!!! This chicken was fantastic. Crispy and juicy just like you said. A gigantic hit with my family. The chile lime butter for the corn was excellent as well. Thanks again!!

    WOW, this is the best fried chicken I've ever made!!!! Perfect, full of flavor, moist & crunchy. Everyone loved it. I followed your recipe to the letter and it was so happy with the finished product. I also loved the tomato salad and the oven roasted corn. You are a fabulous cook. Thanks for the recipe!!

    I've tried to make fried chicken for years and it's always been a disappointment. I followed the directions to the letter and the chicken turned out awesome. It must have been soaking in brine that made the difference. At first, I got the oil too hot and the first 2 pieces burned on the outside and were undercooked near the bone. I lowered the temp by about 10-20 degrees and the remaining pieces were perfect. I loved the cooked herbs and garlic. My 19 year old son helped and gave it rave reviews!

    I adore fried chicken, so was really looking forward to this recipe. It was a complete disappointment. In fact, I did the legs/wings first, to try it. It was so bad, I washed all the coating off the chicken breasts and went back to my tried and true southern fried chicken recipe. With this recipe, the chicken was not done in the middle, and by the time it was done in the middle, the outside was overdone and too crispy. I definitely won't do this one again.

    This was the best fried chicken I have ever made. My husband was eating it before I got it all on the table. It was so moist and tender and the crust was crisp and tasty. We will never have to go "OUT" for good fried chicken again.
