Fried many chickens in my time and decided to try something new. Chicken cooked much to quickly at the 350 temp and and coating would have totally burned had I not removed the chx when I did. The next batch I lower the temp and it cooked just fine. I think starting at a hot temp is fine, but 350 is definitely off the mark if you want a golden crust...not a burned one with raw chicken to boot. Will try the recipe again, but will use my 60 years of experience to cook it :.

I was always afraid to deep fry chicken before but after watching Tyler I decided to give it a try. It was very easy to do and everyone loved it. This recipe is a keeper!

I love Tyler Florence. I have successfully used many of his recipes and techniques, but this first recipe from his new show was an absolute bomb. Keeping the oil at the right temp for deep frying was difficult and the whole process was incredibly messy, but it would have been worth it if the flavor was appealing. Maybe it was the buttermilk, I don't know, but 4 out of 4 people in my household dumped their plates after a couple of bites.

After watching Tyler's show we felt that his promise of being the best was a lot to live up to, but after making his recipe, I've got to say that he delivered. I made everything that he profiled on the show that day and everything was wonderful. The chicken had a lot of taste and didn't lose any of it's juicyness! Great recipe! Thank you Tyler.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE GREATEST MOST DELICIOUS, CRUNCHY FRIED CHICKEN WE HAVE EVER MADE. THIS IS GOING TO BE A SUMMER TIME FAVORITE, WE HAD WITH WATERMELON AND TYLER'S BAKED CORN. WE DID THE CHICKEN SKINLESS, IT STILL HAD A WONDERFUL CRUNCH AND FLAVOR.

I've tried many times to make REAL fried chicken and have failed miserably. This was the BEST fried chicken we've ever had! My family raved about it all weekend.

It was really nice and juicy inside while still having that crispy shell. I think that the oil is a bit hard to regulate, and even when cooking the full time @ that temperature it was a bit raw inside and I had to microwave it for about a minute and a half. Also it was a bit bland. I feel like it could use some more flavor. Time consuming but worth it for the most part.
