This recipe is sound and the frying technique is good. For me, Tyler Florence is only worth watching anymore because of his outstanding knife skills because otherwise, I am disgusted by his continual over usage of olive oil. This guy is from the South (and I don't mean the South of France or Southern Italy-there are Italian Chefs aplenty on FNW for that type of cuisine yet he dumps olive oil in/on every dish he prepares anymore. Everything from pot roast to tartar sauce to vegetables gets glugs and glugs of olive oil until the food looks oily, greasy, vegetables are a limp mess, all of which is totally unappetizing. I like to cook with butter, vegetable oil, bacon drippings, and yes, when appropriate, a good quality olive oil. I want to be able to taste my food without my tongue being coated in olive oil and I want my food to taste like what it is and not always like nothing but the overpowering taste of olive oil. One of the other reviewers commented on the fact that Tyler has gotten so enormously fat and suggested that the cause of his weight gain might be due to his frying food. I don't think so-olive oil is not a bad fat when used correctly but it is very fattening and when someone over uses it the way Tyler Florence does well, let's just say I am not surprised that he's so obese. Too bad-I used to really enjoy watching him cook a variety of foods and frankly, if I am going to go Italian I'll watch the whole host of real Italilan chefs on FN and skip the South Carolina Olive Oil King!

OMG, this is so good. Maybe that's why Tyler is getting so fat. It's all the fried food!

This is a great recipe I do suggest (as others have that they get seasoned with salt and pepper before serving. The panko bread crumbs made this recipe great. I will make these again!! I also used some mixed cheese stuffed olives for an extra punch!

We had a hard time with this. The panko wouldn't stick. We thought they took too long to make & were very bland, won't make again. Sorry.

Made this for a gathering of friends this past weekend. It was all scrumptious!!! The zucchini was terrific! The olives were a great surprise. The panko crumbs were so much better than standard breadcrumbs. But, they still need seasoning. Toss in some salt and pepper into the panko prior to using it. Enjoy!

My husband loved these & said that they were perfect. The panko makes a good difference.

These appetizers are awesome and easy to prepare. I saw the show this morning and went right out to shop for the ingredients. I cut down the recipe and made them for myself, but definitely want to make it again for family, parties, etc.
