Absolutely amazing, This was the first time I ever made a Green Bean Casserole and this turned out delicious. The only thing I changed was the bread. I used cornbread instead of Italian b/c my family is from the south and I make great cornbread. I will make this again and again.

Tastes sooo good, and comes out pretty impressive looking. A little more complicated than I was expecting, but fun to make and dee.lic.ious.

Brought this to a big family Christmas one year and everyone could not stop talking about how good it was. Now I would be in trouble if I didn't make it. My Step Mom tells me it's the best part of the whole day.
I cover the dish while it's baking and remove the cover about 10 minutes before it's done. That way the croutons don't burn.

I sauteed the shallots/mushrooms in butter and added fresh rosemary (chopped, salt & pepper. I then added some white wine, once the liquid had cooked off, I added the fresh cream and then mixed the green beans together with some fresh grated parmesean. Put all this in a baking dish and top with french onions and more parmesean cheese. An absolute HIT any time of the year!!!

Tastewise, it is wonderful, especially the croutons. However, for a vegetable dish, it is dreadfully expensive and very labor intensive for the average person. For that reason, I don't make it very often. But, if I need a tasty, elegant dish, it's tops on my list.

This is a great recipe, but like any recipe you may have to change stuff a bit. Since I like uniformity I cut the bread in 1 inch cubes. I also added a little slurry to the cream mixture (slurry of cream and flour This allowed the cream mixture to thicken a bit.

This video makes my mouth water it looks so good. We already overeat during the holidays. Can you use milk instead of heavy cream? I always would rather use the scratch healthy version rather than a soup can.

This is my favorite go-to recipe for any occasion. It tops the expected "green bean casserole" experience. With very little effort, you look like a top chef. It's absolutely become a family staple at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If you're going to a pot-luck dinner, make the dish up until the oven part. Add the croutons and cheese at the event so it doesn't get soggy.

This is an excellent left-over dish as well. I recommend putting it in at about 400 degrees for 5-10 minutes - keep an eye on it so it doesn't burn. Or throw it in a pan on medium-high heat for a few minutes if you're not concerned about presentation.

It just did not taste right. The bread on top make it too dry. The green beans were too crisp. Just didn't come our right and followed the instructions accurately.
