This dish was fine, but it just wasn't for me. I'm not usually a picky eater, but the flavor just didn't do it for me this time.

This is a great green bean casserole, especially if you like mushrooms. I thought the flavors were good together, but weren't too strong to overwhelm the other flavors of our thanksgiving meal. My husband and the children did not care for it, because they don't like mushrooms. The herbed croutons were a nice touch.

This green bean casserole was a new twist on your mother's green bean casserole. I made 3 lbs of beans for 10 people and they were nearly gone. I used fresh beans. I would blanche them a less than 5 minutes if you want the beans to be crunchier. Also, if you're serving this for Thanksgiving, alongside the a bread stuffing, I would leave out the croutons and instead add the seasonings to the mushroom mixture.

Seemed like it would be great but was just okay. A little soupy.

I hate, loathe and despise the condensed soup version...but this is OMG good! I made the night before...it was delicious!

Followed the recipe and it came it soupy and kind of bland. This is the second TF recipe that we tried this year that was bland.

At 2" the bread crumbs were a little large. Would make them about 1/2" in size . Also the mushrooms were a little thin. A thickening agent would firm up the cream/mushroom mixture, so maybe the bread crumbs could even be mixed in with the mushroom mixture.

I really liked it, however, it wasn't as creamy as I would have liked. To me it was more like a plain green bean side with a hint of mushroom sauce. It was delicous, but not what I thought it would be.

I saw this recipe and made it for the first time several years ago....WONDERFUL! Everyone loved it, even those who hate greenbeans. Easy to follow and tastes and flavors are consistent through entire dish.
Very nicely done, Tyler. This has become a tradition at my table!!
(Note: As mentioned by others, ALWAYS better the 2nd or 3rd day...croutons, though, do NOT reheat well.

I love Tyler's recipes, but this one was a little too dry. No one care much for it; they all said it was on the dry side.
