    I have my own twist to this recipe... I simmer the green beans in a bit of chicken stock. It makes the dish so much sweeter. Also, I just put a pinch of thyme in. Everytime I make this everyone raves!!

    These green beans turned out really well for me. I felt like for the effort they were a little lacking in flavor...so to fix it I sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top of the beans in the serving dish. They looked more fancy and tasted fabulous!

    I made this for Thanksgiving and it was such a hit with everyone at the table. It's hard to please everyone in my family so knowing that everyone really enjoyed this dish is a great treat.

    I wanted to make green beans for Thanksgiving but not the regular casarole. This was easy and the best I have ever had. I will make these beans for more than just the holidays.

    It was alot of work for something not that great tasting or for all of that butter. I think I'll stick to steamed green beans with alittle bit of I can't Beleive its Butter spray and salt, pepper and garlic powder.

    Toasting the almonds made all the difference. A great choice, very light and crunchy.

    The green beans, almonds and onions were a wonderful combination! Very flavorful and the toasted almonds added a nice crunch. I even used canned green beans (definitely not gourmet but I am partial to canned beans. The whole family loved this recipe. It will definitely be a regular with our meals.

    Although it was a bit raw and needed to be 'nuked' - it was excellent - i think i'll add more almonds tho ;

    This is the best recipe I've found yet for fresh green beans. I've been eating the canned ones since I was a kid and always liked them, but I may never go back!! We had these for Thanksgiving. My picky daughter didn't care for them, but my husband raved!! These ROCK!!! Thanks, Tyler!!
