We liked it but it's missing something. I would cook this again, just for home though. I don't think I would be serving these to a crowd unless the majority were adults. I used bacon fat in place of olive oil (same amount as butter. Also added minced garlic 10 minutes before doneness.

Made this a few times, usually for Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve. This dish is best for LARGE CROWDS with BIG APPETITES. It makes too much, could barely keep it all in the pan while sauteing. It's good, but not great, on the bland side. I spiced it up with fresh chopped garlic, crushed red pepper, and rosemary in addition to the thyme. Something was still missing, couldn't quite figure it out. Real cooks will be able to use this recipe for inspiration, but don't use it as a crutch - you'll need to add more flavor somewhere in here.

Very yummy and very easy to make. I omitted the thyme and added some chopped garlic instead. It was a huge hit at our Thanksgiving dinner.

Not impressed, the recipe was very bland. I was disappointed because usually Tyler's recipes are good.
