These were pretty good, nothing to write home about, not much flavor.

This is a real "keeper". All the ingredients work perfectly together. HOWEVER, I am getting VERY frustrated with the way the recipe cards print out. The 3x5 card has left out several sentences and I have to either pencil the missing information myself, or completely retype the entire card. I have an extensive 3x5 card recipe collection and do not want to use the 4x6 style. And by the way, many times those are missing information also. Does anyone edit these things before they're posted on the Food Network Site?

I made these at Thanksgiving. My mom had a huge electric skillet w/ a glass lid. This was perfect to make 3 lbs of green beans. I actually bought a smiliar pan for the future. This is such a unique recipe & the beans were loved by all... I am usually a health nut, so all the butter and oil was overwhelming for me. I'd love a way to make this as good w/out all the butter & oil. I'm just not sure if that's all necessary to properly carmelize the onions. I lack that experience. Excellent recipe. A must make....and definitely use fresh beans.

Fantastic way to prepare String Beans. I used frozen, microwaved them for a few minutes, then proceeded with the rest of the recipe-came out excellent.

This is one of my favorite recipes that I have found on this entire website. I've made it several times for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. Everyone raves about them and wants the recipe. Three pounds is a lot, but it does make excellent leftovers.

AMAZING....not a word you'd expect referring to green beans but they were truly amazing at Thanksgiving dinner. I got rave reviews and will definitly make again and again. I agree with previous review that 3 lbs is a lot. I doubled the recipe but only used 4 lbs of beans and it came out fabulous!!

The recipe is great! The only thing is that it says it's for 6 to 8 servings. 3 lbs is a lot. I'd say you could cut the recipe in half and still be good to go with 6 to 8 people.

Excellent and easy to make. I used 4T olive oil instead of 5T and could probably cut the oil back to 3T. I cooked everything the day before and stored each component separately. Reheated the green beans and onions and combined with the almonds right before serving. Next time I might decrease the green beans to 2 1/2 lbs.

Delicious! I needed an interesting vegetable dish and this was really spot-on! I love it. I made this as part of my Thanksgiving feast. I was worried my family wouldn't like it, but literally as soon as they bit the food, they were singing its praises! I used less of everything, though. I used maybe 1.5lbs of green beans, one onion, and about 1/4 cup of almonds. But it was perfect, really. It was great. I am extremely satisfied with this, especially since I pulled it off this website the day before Thanksgiving. I'm already planning on making it again as soon as possible.

Awesome recipe! I've been making this recipe the past two years for thanksgiving (this will be year three! Its become a request and im EXPECTED to bring it!! One change/ addition i make to it is that i fry some bacon and break it up in addition to everything else i also use some of the bacon fat instead of the olive oil, not healthy i know, but it adds amazing flavor and thanksgiving only comes around once a year!! try it you'll love it with or without my bacon. Also make sure you use sweet onions, they carmelize so nicely... it really brings out the flavor in the dish!! Happy thanksgiving everyone!!
