This recipe was absolutely delicious. The combination of the onions, toasted almonds and that little bit of fresh thyme is unbelievable!!

I make green beans all kinds of ways, but my family agrees, this is the ultimate dish. Have served this several times, and it's never been a let down.

I have made this several times with dried herbs and it is good also that way.

Tyler Florence is a genius! I'll never go back to coventional green beans ever again! The thyme added the right amount of flavor to the sweetness of the carmelized onions. I can't wait to make it again! Yummy!

They've never been my favorite, but I tried them this way and was more than just satisfied with the result. everyone enjoyed them and now I can dress up green beens fairly easily.

You could use another kind of nut, such as pine nuts or cashews and it would probably still work.

Don't skimp on the FRESH thyme.

I have my own twist to this recipe... I simmer the green beans in a bit of chicken stock. It makes the dish so much sweeter. Also, I just put a pinch of thyme in. Everytime I make this everyone raves!!
