I am in part of a blogging group called Tyer Florence Fridays. We chose one Tyler dish every week and then blog about it each Friday. We blog about all kinds of Tyler recipes: main courses, desserts, side dishes, etc. Sometimes we get busy or we don't have anything on hand and this is a good recipe for those times. In my case, I had just made Tyler's wonderful white bread and decided to also make this sandwich. It was decadent, rich, sinful and tasted like a dessert to me. It was superdelicous!! I wondered about the need to put a brick or heavy pan on top of the sandwich while cooking, but it was well worthwhile. The bread developed an even crust and the color was amazing. Well worth it for a snack, sandwich for the kids, dessert. It was really good and will be made again!!

We are going on vacation tomorrow so I didn't have much fresh food in the house. I had a banana and of course some pb&j so I went for this! My kids devoured it! It was delicious! Thanks for the new brunch staple!

This is a great sandwich for kids. My 4 year old kept saying "I love it, I love it." Let me tell you that is a miracle. BEWARE, however the peanut butter gets very hot, make sure to leave time to cool off.
