The butter goes on one side of the bread (the outside. That way when it goes in the pan it won't stick when you cook it (like cooking a grilled cheese sandwich in a pan and it will brown nicely. Apple butter stays in the "middle" of the sandwich with the rest of the ingredients (like the cheese in a grilled cheese sandwich. Hope this helps! :

This may seem silly, but does the buttered and apple-buttered side of the bread go on the inside or on the outside (like a grilled cheese????

Yep. A recipe to add to my favorites. Friends will be impressed with the unique combination of flavors, yet the creamy brie and turkey add a nice dose of familiar comfort. A must try!

This is soooo good, and soooo easy. The Brie melts...apple stays crunchy, apple butter brings just the right amount of sweetness. You'll love it....

Yum, that's a good sandwich. Being new to cooking, I found the ingredients a little hard to find, but even my bf loved this sandwich. At first I wasn't sure what to expect, because the ingredients seemed a little odd, but wow! It turned out so delicious and packed with flavor. I've never had anything like this before. My bf even commented on how this tasted like restaurant quality. Now I'm contemplating on weather I should make this for an upcoming party. I know it'll be a hit. Great sandwich, and easy to make. I will be making this again.
