This is my favorite guacamole recipe. So good!

This is a good recipe and I will make it again EXCEPT I will not use 3 limes. That must be a typo. The overwhelming taste of lime was so strong that it almost took over the flavor of the cilantro which is pretty hard to do. So now I'm basically having to deal with masking the lime with sour cream. I'm sure it will not cover it all, but it wont be so strong. Do yourself a favor and when making this use a half a lime . That is more than enough for 3 avocados.

This guacamole is amazing. My husband and I are addicted to it! We did cut back on the lime but we have a lime juicer that does a WAY better job than doing it by hand or using other juicers - it's like a big garlic press but is specifically designed for juicing lemons and limes so it gets tons of juice out of each lime. We just made some and we've eaten so much, we're not hungry for dinner anymore. Oh well, guess we'll skip right to homemade key lime pie for dessert! : Must be a lime night. Thanks, Tyler!! :

Only white onion in Guac, save your sweet onions for your Yankee pot roast, and as much as I love lime, 1 lime per 3 avocados is the max. If you can't taste the Avocado it's not Guac. Don't be lazy, remove the leaf from the stem of the cilantro and use the stems in an Asian soup later. I'm all about the Serranos.

I was really surprised when I tasted the end result. Never having made guacamole before I didn't know that juice of 3 limes was a lot. The major taste in this guac was the lime, it overpowered everything else.

I took it into work and asked everyone's opinion and about 8 people said too much lime, and 1 person said it was good the way it was.

Needless to say I was pretty disappointed.

I made this last night with ultimate tacos. The kids almost ate it all with tortilla chips before the meat was even done. I grated the onion so the kids didn't know it was there and used a half a pepper so the kids would be able to eat it. A nice alternative to adding tomotoes too.

I made this to top Sunny Anderson's steak fajitas and this was the best guacamole I have ever had! I made it exactly as the recipe stated, except I substituted jarred banana peppers for the serrano peppers. This guacamole has such a clean fresh taste. My husband even ate it and he HATES guacamole!! Thanks for another great one, Tyler!

In the past when my husband and I have made guacamole, we just get the guacamole mix. However, not long ago we had some friends over and I decided that I was going to actually make guacamole dip with fresh ingredients and not the mix. I am so glad I did because we all loved this dip!

This is a great recipe. Thanks Tyler. Also, I learned a great tip from a friend from Puerto Rico- after you mix all the ingredients together, put the avocado pit in the middle of your guac and it will keep your guac from turning brown. It totally works! Make sure to press saran wrap flush against the dip until serving also.
