I made this recipe for my husband's birthday party last week. He declared that even though it was an unusual recipe, it was the best guacamole EVER and that he wanted me to make it just like that from then on. I had several guests telling me it was the best guacamole they had ever had as well. Even though I hated guacamole, I got curious and decided to give it a try. I couldn't stop eating the stuff, it was SO good. I will make this over and over again. Thanks Tyler!

I made this guac for a 4th of July party and couldn't believe the response. Everyone LOVED it. They surrounded the guacamole bowl like it was the last appetizer they'd ever have (I must admit, I was right in there with the rest of them!. This has to be the best guacamole ever. Tyler knows his stuff!

Sour Cream wasn't in the recipe for a reason. If you want to completely change the taste of the guacamole, go ahead but IMO, you'll altogether ruin it. Also, per the EVOO being considered too much fat in combination with the Avacados, the EVOO is a good fat as fats go and you don't add enough to make much of a difference anyway. The benefit of the EVOO isn't just taste but improves the end texture. GREAT one here Tyler!

Quite possibly the best recipe for guacamole I have ever had/made. May need more salt based on taste and I think he intentionally made it under-salted knowing that almost everyone salts their guacamole. Sometimes I double the serranos to mix it up, but, be-warned, it is hot!

I found myself with 2 really ripe avocados, a lime and some cilantro and decided to make guac. Having never done it before, I looked on the Food Network site and this recipe popped up. It was easy to make, even cutting the ingredients in thirds, and my husband voted it the best guacamole he ever ate! Can I give it 6 stars? Thanks, Tyler!

I have been searching for a recipe for Guacamole and decided to pick this one. I made it as written, except I halved it. I did use 3 avacados, half an onion, one serano and the juice of 2 limes. I used about 4 garlic cloves though, because I enjoy garlic. I also used a huge handful of cilantro, probably about a cup after it was chopped. This is the most amazing guacamole ever! I'm fighting the urge to sit down with the bowl and a bag of chips!

My husband was born and raised in Mexico City and he ate enough of this guacamole to feed a small country. I actually cut back the amount of serranos (it IS HOT, and added fresh diced tomatoes I bought from the store. Guacamole should always have tomatoes in my opinion (And believe me, I've eaten at all kinds of Mexican resteraunts! VERY GOOD recipe.

This is a great easy recipe. I brought some in for my friend to try and she loved it - and normally doesn't like guac!

To answer Emily's question about using the magic bullet.... no need. Just dump all ingredients in a bowl and smash everything together with a fork. Leave it a little chunky, it will take you about 30 seconds. I love this recipe. I prefer to half the recipe (using one lime, then making it again a couple days later to go with taco leftovers.
