I didn't have fresh spices on hand, so I used the dried versions- was pretty good. 3 things I didn't like:
1- I oversalted it! My fault of course but I kind of wish there would have been measurements for it at least as a guide...
2-Too much butter! I only used half a stick of butter for a full loaf of bread, but I still thought it was too much...too greasy...
3-Too much parsley flavor! It's very strong and over powers the taste of the basil which I prefer.
Overall, I probably would not make this again - but that's becuase I am not big on tons of butter in general(and not too keen on parsley...BUT if you are, I think you will like this dish, just watch the salt! Also remember if you use salted butter, that is probably enough salt for this period, but it all depends on how salty you like things! :

This blows the doors off any store bought garlic bread. Super easy and I usually have everything on hand but the bread itself. I cook for 2 but this is great to make ahead, portion and freeze. It's ready to bake whenever we want it!

I've been making garlic bread for years and have tried many different techniques. I watched Tyler's "Ultimate Chicken Parmigiana" episode this week and he made this Garlic Bread to accompany the meal. I made it tonight along with his Chicken Parmigiana and both were a bit hit. I was told by those who've been telling me they've loved my garlic bread for years that this was the best I've ever made. I even very much enjoyed it myself. It's fantastic! The Ultimate!

This garlic bread is phenomenol!! It's very easy to make and beats the pants off of pre-made or frozen. I've made it for guests and family. It is requested again and again! Only be careful with the amount of salt. You just need a little. I used unsalted butter and still can be too salty. Otherwise, great bread.
