I agree with the other comments that the sauce on its own is very lemony, but when combined with the eggs, ham, and English muffins, it is delicious. Far superior to my usual packet hollandaise, this sauce is creamy and rich. Also, very easy to make--I didn't even use an electric mixer, only a whisk!

I'm not sure why but I greatly dislike this recipe. I made it in a stainless steel bowl and thought it turned out horribly because of the bowl so I tried again in a glass bowl, still didnt care for it at all. Ended up using a package sauce.

I WANTED TO MAKE EGGS BENEDICT THIS MORNING AND HAD NEVER MADE A HOLLANDAISE SAUCE BEFORE. SO NATURALLY I WENT TO THE FOOD NETWORK SITE TO FIND A RECIPE. THIS RECIPE IS SO EASY AND I HAD ALL THE INGREDIANTS I NEEDED TO MAKE IT. THE SAUCE CAME OUT SO GREAT. I REALLY WANT TO THANK TYLER FLORENCE FOR MAKING THIS RECIPE SO EASY TO ACCOMPLISH.

It was not nearly as intimidating as I thought it would be. It ended up being very simple and quite good. The only exception is that it was a bit too much lemon for me but my mother thought it was perfect, so it must be a matter of personal preference.

I made this for Father's Day and it was really easy to make. The sauce had an overpowering taste of lemon. It was good but next time I might try just a squeeze of lemon.

The recipe is fairly good, but I thought if the amount of lemon was reduced slightly it might bring out a more buttery flavor versus mostly lemon.

Fantastic! My first attempt and my husband was over the moon with the meal.
I didn't even scramble the eggs.

So easy, much better than the dry sauce mix you can purchase. In fact, you know
it is more hearty and less expensive.
To even simplify this recipe I used a hand held electric mixer, (the kind that looks like a tube with a metal blade at the bottom.
And again, is easy to make half a portion, or double or triple it. Thanks

I've always been intimidated at the thought of trying to make eggs benedict (the hollandaise sauce especially, but my husband convinced me to try it when we had my in-laws over for brunch this weekend. I was happy with the result, and my in-laws were impressed.
