I was not a fan at all. I tried this recipe because I'm always looking for different recipes with kale. The dressing turned out too oniony and there was no taste of pear whatsoever. Because of that reason, I don't think it paired well at all with the nuts and sliced pears. I also didn't know how long to cook the pears. A lot of cleanup also just for a dressing.

This is an absolutely delicious recipe! I was skeptical at first, since I normally don't eat my winter greens raw, but wow, was it amazing with this dressing. The dressing is so delicious, I received so many compliments! Even my mother -in-law (who doesn't like hearty greens, found herself liking this dish very much, and ate more then she thought she would. It's definitely a must try, you won't regret it - Soooo yummy!

I am not usually a huge fan of winter greens but this salad is MINDBLOWING. Everytime I make this for friends I get asked for the recipe. Wholesome, nutritious, and different - SO GOOD!!!

WOW I can't believe how amazing this salad is! Made it for a baby shower and it was a total hit with everyone! The dressing has such a wonderful, complex flavor, and the sweetness nicely offsets the slightly bitter flavor of the greens. Make sure to use Bosc pears like the recipe states- their unique flavor is unmatched by other varieties.

I made the salad two days in a row. Just couldn't get enought of the wonderful flavor that the shallots and pear provided. I only had Romain lettuce in the fridg and it worked very well. I will make this dressing over and over again. It was a huge hit with my family
    Thanks, Tyler,

Made this for a Birthday dinner..............along with the Sunday gravy. Excellent side dish...................extremely healthy and full of flavor. We all commented on how much flavor the salad had...............................we are all meat lovers. Would recommend to anyone.....Only change, I added white wine to the shallots as they carmelized and then added the pears. Added a little more in the food processor. Yum.
