The cupcakes were easy to put together. Make sure the butter isn't too warm.
I did use more jelly in the center.
Big hit with kids!

The cupcake was tough (possibly my error in mixing, etc. but the frosting was really tasteless. Too sweet and no peanut butter flavor. And, I know the frosting was made exactly to the directions.

I am a huge Tyler fan, especially his "ultimate" recipes! These cupcakes were so flavorful and so home-made tasting they would be wonderful plain!! Add this amazing frosting and now it's heaven!! The frosting is very light yet creamy and sinful at the same time!! --I also had lots extra and felt sick because I couldn't stop licking the spoon!!! Oh and the Boy Scouts that made them for and the parents loved them too!!! Way to go Tyler, you ROCK!

I did not make the cup cakes, but I needed peanut butter icing for a cake I was baking. I had the most difficult time making the icing. I had to add 1/4 cup of milk before I could get the icing to a "spreadable" consistancy. And it is almost impossible not to get powedered sugar everywhere when using a hand mixer, you need a very deep mixing bowl for this recipe.

I don't usually rate recipes, but this one was so fabulous that I just had to! These were the most delicious cupcakes ever! A nice flavor switch from your everyday cupcake varieties. I will definately be making these again!

These were very tasty, but I found the frosting hard to spread, and I also found it difficult to get the jelly into the cupcakes-maybe I did something wrong.

I cheated and used yellow cake mix and then added strawberry preserves to the center. I used a pastry bag to fill the cupcakes, which would have worked fine had I not used preserves... so when a recipe calls for jelly, use jelly...
I made the frosting as directed, but added more milk than a TBSP. It makes lots of frosting. I made 24 cupcakes and I have a ton of leftover frosting. I will use it to frost brownies, so it certainly won't be wasted, but be forwarned, it makes LOTS.
Overall, great idea and decent recipe.
