I used this recipe the first time I ever made lasagna because it didnt look that difficult and it wasn't AT ALL! For such a beginner recipe- IT WAS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! I made it for my boyfriend and his roommates and my roommates as well and everyone just ingulfed it. Everyone just couldnt stop talking about how great it was! All the ingredients work so well together and it was the perfect amount of sauce and cheese and meat. WONDERFUL! i plan on making this VERY VERY OFTEN!

My sister & I served this recipe to our parents and close family friends for a before Christmas celebration. It was met with raves by all the diners. Our guests wanted to know where they could buy this tasty treat. What a great feeling to tell them we made ourselves...with a little help from Tyler.

My husband and I have had a long standing tradition of making Lasagna on Halloween. This is now our 4 year making this receipe. It is the best so far and we will never make another version. Thanks Tyler!

I almost didn't use the sausage, but after tasting it, I'll never make lasagna (or a meat sauce without it. It adds a great flavor that kicks up the plain ground beef. I agree with other reviewers that it was VERY dry - I'll make again, but next time add twice the sauce (I used a jarred marinara. Overall, nice flavors, presentation, and really easy!

I used this recipe as the foundation for my current lasagna recipe, adjusting it a little every time until I was satisfied. Here are the changes I made that is now my current recipe:
1 use a huge lasagna pan (or you will have extra filling leftover if you use a 9x13
2 cut the ground beef down to 1 lb.
3 I found the fresh herbs to be too strong (and expensive so I substitute 1 tsp. of dried herbs per 2 tbsp. of fresh herbs
4 Use half ricotta cheese, half cottage cheese (just buy 1 of each
5 You will definitely need to use MORE sauce in this recipe or it will be dry (especially if you underboil the pasta or use the no-boil kind
Everyone LOVES this recipe! Great for holidays. Enjoy!

Time consuming to make the first time, but worth it! The kids loved it as did my other company! This tastes even better left over. I had to use more tomato sauce than specified in the recipe though. Make sure to get enough at the store!

I made it EXACTLY how the recipe said to, and it was SOOOO cheesy, yummmy, delicious!! My BF and I ate it for the next 3 days straight and still didn't get sick of it. Will make it over and over and over again! Everyone should try it =
