Just Amazing!! I have made this several times and it's always a hit! The chimichurri does taste better when chilled.

This is an amazing recipe! We have been to Argentina and tried numerous amounts of chimichurries. I must say that this is the closest to perfection! When making the salad, I poured 1/2 of the chimichurri into the salad in a stainless steel bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. The salad tastes even better!

Tyler's method for cooking the filet mignon is spot on but it's nothing new; it's the standard method you'll find anywhere for this cut of beef. I had to switch from a skillet to a preheated baking pan in the oven as I didn't have an oven-proof skillet, but the steak still turned out perfectly cooked. I was less than wowed, however, by the salsa. Though I love jicama and avocado, the salsa was really bland, even after adding the chimichurri to it. Maybe I just wasn't crazy about the tomatillos. In any case it seemed like it needed more flavor. It also makes WAY too much for two steaks, as other have noted. The chimichurri sauce was pretty good, but I've had better. It was a bit too oily so I added more parsley and cilantro to compensate, which helped.

When my roommate and I made this for one of our friends she told us we should open a restaurant. It's that good!

The filets are good but what I keep coming back for is the salsa. I chop it big and its like salad thing. Or small as a salsa that is flexible. Sometimes I substitute the jalapeno for another chile for extra kick. I love it! HIghly recommended

Made this last evening..........wow! I feel like a chef. Best combos of flavors together. The salsa was something I had never eaten before and I loved the combination of textures. My husband wants less jicama next time, but everything else he loved. The steak preparation was so easy, and turned out beautiful. The chimichurri sauce was to die for! My kids think I should be a chef now! Kudos to you Tyler!

This is my favorite food network recipe so far. I finally know how to make the perfect filet mignon. I had never had jicama before, but it was quite delicious with the cimmichurri sauce. I will make this again soon, it's a great summer dish.
