As I am just learning to cook real meals (not those premade then thrown into the oven things we all use to save time I found that this recipe was not only simple but tastey. I only really needed 1/2 of a lemon for the taste but then, it's all about how you like your foods really.

    Great recipe! <3

I had two whole chickens and I roasted both of them in my convection oven (375 degrees for an hour this evening. My husband and boys (including myself absolutely loved the results. I followed the recipe exactly for the chicken. The one exception was....I didn't use potatoes, instead I roasted sweet potatoes in a separate baking dish. My husband and boys have requested I make this again and soon!!!

This was a brilliant recipe. The weather here in Holland has been horrid. What's new? Rain, rain and more rain. So time to get out the comfort food recipe to take one out of depression. And this is the recipe I decided upon today. Yes. a nice roast chicken is definitely comfort food! The recipe turned out fantastic and was so delish. I made only one change after reading some of the reviews. Instead of rubbing only olive oil over the outside of the chicken, I decided to add more flavor. I took 1 clove garlic, juice of 1/2 lemon (half of the one I stuffed in the cavity, 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, 3 tbsp of olive oil. I processed the mixture in my mini processor until it was an emulsion. I then rubbed the emulsion all over the chicken. My chicken was only 3 lbs, so roasting for 1 hour is all it took. The chicken turned out incredibly moist and very flavorful. This is an excellent recipe I highly recommend to all. Thank you Tyler for a terrific recipe!

Made this tonight for dinner. Very simple ingredients to put together, not a lot of fuss. Be sure to season well. The meat was moist and tender. Potoatoes were done perfectly. Would definitely make this again for company!

This recipe is delicious. It was so easy to make and the potatoes turned out perfectly. If you like this recipe then I recommend making Tyler's Horseradish and Garlic Prime Rib recipe.

The idea behind this chicken is fabulous but in order to really capture the flavor of the lemon and herbs it's probably best to marinate the chicken. Chicken was very juicy but it wasn't very flavorful.
