I used Ina Garten's lemon yogurt cake and store-bought lemon curd... SOOO GOOOOD.. the limoncello soaks into the cake and the lemon curd covered up the fake cool whip taste... PERFECTION

Excellent! Everyone loved it. I wouldn't change a thing....give it a try, you'll love it. The curd did take longer than 10 minutes to set-up (about 25 minutes of whisking, but don't let that stop you.

This is a visually stunning dessert! I've made it authentic to the recipe and people loved it. I have also "cheated" and used store-bought lemon curd, store-bought pound cake (plain vs. lemon works too, and mixed cool whip in to lighten the curd. This makes the dessert super fast to put together and frankly, people still loved it. We use strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

Tasty! I have made this dessert about 8 times. Lemon Curd takes between 20-35 mins- time always varied. Yesterday- pressed for time and forgetting to make dessert for a gathering. I did it the "Betty Crocker" way.... and it was still fab! Clean plates looking for more. Nothing compares to a fresh lemon curd- but this was still very good. I used store bought pound cake. Dickensons (from Target Lemon Curd and Cool Whip. Seriously- it still was delightful- and cut the time for this dessert to 15 Minutes. This Shortcut- has given me a go to quick dessert. The from scratch version will be reserved for special occaasions.

If you are looking for a delicious dessert with a beautiful presentation this is IT! I cannot tell you how good this is, you just have to try it. I have made it twice for family and both times EVERYONE goes back for at least seconds. I used just over 1/2 c. of lemon juice and it took about 15 min. for curd to thicken properly. And, oh man, when you fold the homemade whipped cream into the lemon curd - heaven!

I have made this several times, and it is yummy. A word to those who said it takes longer to make the lemon curd, check the amount of lemon juice you use. After an unsatisfactory batch, I researched and the standard for lemons is 2 tablespoons of juice. Using this amount of juice I only cook the lemon curd for 10 minutes. I also added fresh raspberries this time. Very Good.

Very delicious! I would go without a little of the lemon curd (it was a little too sweet for me.
