bad lemon curd recipe. like many people already said, the curd comes out way to loose. i made this trifle a second time using Ina Gartens Lemon curd recipe and Willimas-Sonoma Lemon pound cake recipe, these changes made this trifle perfect.

I made this dessert for the first time 2 years ago for Easter, instant hit and it is requested now for every family gathering!

I omit the blackberries and either make the pound cake from scratch using Emrils' recipe or I use a store-bought mix. Awesome!

This dessert is wonderful. I decided, after reading some of the reviews to put in less lemon juice, and it turned out wonderfully. Great for any occasion.

Probably specific mesurements for the zest & lemon juice would improve this recipe. I watched the video & then followed the printed directions. After 10 miinutes of rapidly whisking the mixture was still very runny. I whisked rapdily for 20 minutes till it got to a creamy texture. Maybe my lemons were tooo large??? Final product looked pretty but was really tart.

I have made this dessert about 6 times now for special occasions and each time it consistently impresses guests! The lemon curd is difficult to make and out of 6 times I'd say I got it perfect 50% of the time. However, no matter how fluffy the curd is, it still tastes amazing. I will never go back to lemon curd in a jar.

This last time I substituted light Cool Whip instead of fresh whipping cream. It wasn't bad to be honest and was nice to be able to cut down the calories (considering how much I usually eat in one serving and it also saves on some time (I was in a rush.

Thanks Tyler for sharing this amazing dessert!

I made this dessert for a BBQ at my boss's house, and it was a huge success! I added blackberries to it and used a lemon meringue pie box mix instead of making the lemon curd from scratch because i didn't have the time and it was absolutely delicious! A little dusting of confectioners sugar on top right before serving and a couple spriggs of mint and it looked far more impressive than it was difficult to make. A fantastic dessert for entertaining!!

The first time I had this dessert was at a neighborhood party. It was beautiful. But then I tasted it and it was divine. I got the recipe and made it myself. Now everyone wants the recipe!

I made this for a Labor Day bbq today. No one wanted to touch it at first because it was so beautiful! The flavor was amazing and everyone loved it! A few tips to make the most of this recipe: 1 Use regular poundcake--I'm not sure that using lemon poundcake is necessary. In fact, given the strong flavor of the lemon curd, it might be overkill to use lemon poundcake. 2 Make your own lemon curd. It doesn't take very long, and the flavor far outstrips the store bought kind (and it's cheaper. Also make your own whipped cream-cool whip will ruin the recipe. Homemade whipped cream takes a couple of minutes with an immersion blender. 3 Save a bit of money by just using strawberries and blueberries-blackberries are a bit pricey, in my opinion. I loved doing this and I can't wait to make it for my mom.

After over an hour attempting to make the curd over a dbl boiler and in the fridge overnight; I had no success. But I made due with my back up (french vanilla pudding and fresh whipped cream. I offered the unsuccesful curd as a sauce with leftover fresh fruit. All of my older guest gobbled it up (not as sweet I guess.
