I was so disappointed with this recipe especially since it cost ~$40 to make. It had NO flavor, needed tons of salt, more flour to thicken, additional tomato paste to give it some color, and required a longer cooking time to thicken it up. Even let it sit overnight hoping it would be better the next day, not so.

I am usually pleased with the recipes from this site, this is just not one of them.

This was my first attempt at making lobster bisque, but I was pleasantly surprised at how easily it came together after watching Tyler make it on the show. Everyone was in food heaven while eating it!

Although, I really love cooking, I'm not very well rounded in it. I have never cooked with a leek before and didn't really know what to do with it or what part to use. So, I just chopped it up in big pieces and used it. The lobster bisque was amazing. Thanks Tyler

Great soup, everyone loved it. Only changes I made were that I added extra TB of flour and simmered it longer - about 1 1/2 hours. Mine needed quite a bit of salt & pepper to bring out the flavor. As the other reviews said - it is a little pricey, but, I think the end result was well worth it.

I prepared this bisque for dinner this past weekend. It was absolutely delicious, and I messed it up! I added too much water at one point so the final product was not a thick consistency like we had hoped. If I had done everything right, it would have been perfect! I can't wait to try it again. It was as good if not better than the lobster bisque I once enjoyed at the Ritz Carlton!

Overall I thought it was average. The recipe is expensive to make (approximately $70 in ingredients and it only made enough for 4 and that was a stretch. I would suggest you spend the money elsewhere.

The lobster was very tender and the consistency was perfect. It was a definite hit for Christmas dinner and will now be a tradition. Thanks!!!!
