This mac and cheese was great. I love homemade mac and cheese but have been having trouble finding just the right recipe. This one is great! As a side note, I noticed some reviewers say the texture is grainy. You have to use whole milk for mac and cheese. If you try to save calories by using skim or low fat, you completely change the consistency of the dish. It won't be nearly as creamy as it should be.

This is my second time around cooking this. This time it was very good only because I had all the ingredients. It is very easy and simple to make. I love it! This is Mac&Cheese with a twist.

i thought it looked good on tv.. looked better on my plate. instead of bacon strips i went to sams club and got a package of real bacon, and just added as much of that in as i liked. then i used a whole pound of vermont white sharp cheddar, and added extra to the top with bread crumbs. my fiance wants this all the time!!! its excellent!!

I have tried lots of mac-n-cheese recipes, but, this is the most creamy, delicious macaroni I've ever made. Its my Mac-n-cheese recipe now! Thanks Tyler

I've been looking for a good mac and cheese recipe for a long time. I tried a few and were always disappointed. But not this time. It was great. The bacon is a great touch. I love the crust on the outside. I think next time I make it I will make it in individual bowls. like french onion soup bowls. that way everyone can have their own nice carmelized top. I pared it with Tyler's Tomato soup, like in his show. Both wonderful!! Thank you Tyler

My family and friends just loved this. We did add a little extra bacon because everything taste better with bacon, : but even without it.... the recipe is great! I highly recommend it.
