    This was just not a good recipe. I found it to be really grainy and it lacked that "cheesy" flavor I expect in Mac n' Cheese. The topping was the best part of this recipe, but even it won't inspire me to make this again.

    It looked so creamy on TV but I used sharp cheddar cheese and it was grainy and the kids didn't like it. I loved the bacon and onions and will put more on next time. The next day I had a big leftover, I added a little milk, Havarti Dill cheese slices and cut up some precooked chicken breast into it and they kids loved it. The added cheese made it gooy and it wasn't grainy any more.

    I made this mac & cheese, it was fantastic! The bacon & garlic topping was like the cherry on top of a sunday! Perfect!!!

    Mine also turned out greasy and gritty at the same time. In the end, I was left with a big mess in the kitchen and a big disappointment on my plate.

    great taste i could not fine vermont extra sharp cheddar cheese, so i used cracker burral extra sharp cheddar. and was out of this world it was sooo good. and the topping was a good touch.

    This looked SOOO good on TV. It was good, but nothing really special. My kids didn't really care for it. The garlic flavor was a bit strong for mac/cheese. Won't make again. It was alot of work too. It just wasn't as rich and creamy as I expected.

    I think I gained 3 lbs. from making this. It makes a lot and I just kept eating the leftovers all week long. Very good.
