This recipe is for sure a winner! The smell that fills the home while cooking is inviting and welcoming for guests. I loved this recipe and would do it again.

I've tried many different recipes for turkey over the years. this is the best. I found the addition of sherry to the maple galze worked well with the sage butter and made a smashing gravey.

The turkey turned out perfect. Best turkey I have ever tasted. I normally dont like the white meat but this turkey tasted so good. The meat very tasteful, and very very tender. I brined the turkey first prior to roasting. Im not supposed to brine a prebasted turkey but it turned out very good. I made my own cornbread and even included some corn in the stuffing. The stuffing was really good also.

My best friend cooked the turkey last year with this recipe. I like turkey, but I have never had a turkey worth remembering, except this one. It really upset me that my mother in law was going to make the turkey, I wanted to do it so I could make it with this recipe. But she had already bought her turkey. But...for Chirstmas, I shall have MY TURKEY! it is wonderful.

Thanksgiving 2003 was the first time I tried this recipe and it was a hit. I had never made or tasted a turkey so tender, juicy and flavorful like this recipe. What is so great about this recipe is that it is not your typical recipe. This will be my trademark recipe.

Now, I have to tell you. I had lost this recipe and could not find it. I was so upset at the fact that I had lost it I did not want to make a Thanksgiving dinner this year. Today is Tuesday Nov. 22nd and I still did not find the recipe. I was so close to crying and LOSING IT but it is 10:45 pm and I finally found it. I cannot be happier. I have printed the recipe and made several copies.

Thank you for helping me with a turkey to remember.

    PS
My mother in law also raves about it!!!!!!!!

The flavors were so pungent yet familiar. I found it was best to bake your own cornbread from scratch for the stuffing, and to get authentic ingredients (real butter, fresh smoked bacon, etc. A must-try holiday treat!
